Changes

Saludos!

Well it has been some time since I have blogged at it is getting close to the move date. 26 days and counting. In that time we still have a lot to do but are getting very excited for our new adventure. Although there have been some changes.

I was originally hired to be the school's librarian (which I was very excited about) but received an email from the my boss one day asking if I would be willing to be considered for a first grade teaching position. I quickly replied yes and heard back a day or two later that I would now be the first grade teacher at Mazapan school! Although being a librarian would be AMAZING, I was a little sad to not have my own classroom. I am so excited now to put all of those things that I learned into practice and get this teaching thing down!

We have been in contact with several people from the school which has been very helpful. I do feel a lot more prepared for this move than the move to China, but nothing can really prepare you fully for a move abroad to a country you have never even been to! Our biggest headache has been preparing the dogs and all of the necessary documents that we need to get our visas once we arrive there. They are almost all done, just waiting for them to come back in the mail.

We just got back from an amazing weekend with Luke's family at Rockaway beach which was super fun. The dogs had a great time too, especially bonding with their uncle Jason. It was a weekend of wine and card playing which was pretty amazing. It was great to all be together before leaving down south. Here are some of my favorite photos from the weekend - mostly Lamb Lamb's two aunts sharing some wine. (Don't worry he didn't drink any, just spilled them on his clothes).

Until next time my fellow bloggers! I will report on the happenings of the Martins and our preparations for the big move!
